In this interactive session, you’ll craft and practice your meeting elevator pitch. You’ll leave with a clear, confident 30-second introduction that captures who you are, the value you bring, and what you need, ready to put into action at your next meeting or networking event:
💡 Start with who you are: Lead with your name and your role. Keep it simple and clear – ‘I’m Sarah, I’m a product manager at X company.’ This grounds the conversation and gives them context before you dive in.
💡 Say what you do (in plain English): Don’t use jargon or corporate speak. Explain what you do in a way anyone could understand. ‘I help teams build products that customers actually want to use’ beats ‘I facilitate cross-functional stakeholder alignment’ every single time.
💡 End with something that invites conversation: Don’t just list facts about yourself – give them a hook to respond to. Mention a project you’re working on, a challenge you’re solving, or ask them a question about their work. The goal is to spark interest, not deliver a monologue.
Your elevator pitch should feel natural – but it will sound rehearsed the first few times, and that’s ok!. Practice it out loud until it rolls off your tongue – because you never know when that 30-second opportunity will show up.
