What you'll learn:
You know your weaknesses inside out. But can you name your top three strengths?
We spend so much time fixated on what we’re bad at that we miss the real opportunity: doubling down on what we’re actually exceptional at. If you focus on your weaknesses, the best you’ll achieve is mediocre. But lean into your strengths? That’s where you’ll excel.
Three ways to identify and use your strengths:
💡 Know your strengths (actually know them): Do a strengths test. There’s a one in 33 million chance someone shares your exact top five strengths in the same order. Understanding what you’re naturally good at helps you stop trying to be someone you’re not.
💡 Find your superpower: Your superpower sits at the intersection of what you’re good at AND what brings you joy. Ask yourself: What energises me? When do I lose track of time? What seems obvious to me but difficult to others? That’s what you should be known for.
💡 Ask others what they see: We’re often blind to our own strengths because they feel easy to us. Ask a friend or colleague: ‘What do you think my top three strengths are?’ Their answers might surprise you.
