What you'll learn:
23% of us aren’t comfortable giving feedback. And 55% are only somewhat comfortable.
We avoid giving feedback because it feels awkward or risky. Feedback is a gift when done well – it helps people improve, builds trust, and creates high-performing teams. The key is knowing how to deliver it so it lands as helpful, not hurtful.
We cover the COIN framework to give clear, actionable feedback:
💡 Context: Be specific about when and where the behaviour happened. Don’t say ‘you’re always rude in meetings’ – say ‘in this morning’s meeting’. Give them something concrete they can point to.
💡 Observation: Describe what you actually saw, not your interpretation of it. Focus on the behaviour, not the person. ‘You interrupted Rebecca a few times’ is clear. ‘You’re aggressive’ is not.
💡 Impact: Explain why it matters. How did the behaviour affect others, the team, or the outcome? ‘When you interrupted Rebecca, it disrupted the meeting flo,w and I could see her shrink. We need her perspectives on this project.’
💡 Next steps: Give them something actionable to try. ‘In the next meeting, give Rebecca more time to elaborate before jumping in.’ Make it tangible – something they can actually do differently.

"Really helpful dos and don’ts in this master-class. A good reminder of how powerful and positive feedback can be when given in the right way. "
