What you'll learn:
Women, especially, often get vague, personality-based feedback (‘work on your executive presence’) instead of actionable insights. Without meaningful feedback, we can’t improve! In just 13 minute, you’ll learn the three steps to ask for (and receive) feedback well:
💡 Ask specifically and often: Don’t say ‘can I get some feedback?’, it’s too vague. Normalise asking regularly.
💡 Choose the right people: Ask people you respect, who you trust to tell you the truth, and who want to see you succeed. If you don’t trust their intentions, don’t ask them. Their feedback won’t be useful anyway.
💡 Manage your defensive instinct: Taking feedback personally is normal – you care about your work. Don’t justify or apologise in the moment; learn what to do instead.
Not all feedback deserves action, so we also cover the ‘bucket’ approach.
