Collection of data
The information we collect:
We collect your contact details, career information, workplace feedback, and some demographic data like age ranges and ethnicity. We only collect ethnicity information if you choose to share it. We use this information to deliver your membership, keep improving Powrsuit, and to measure our impact.
Providing some information is optional. If you choose not to enter career-related information, as an example, your experience might be less tailored. Please note, providing ethnicity is completely optional, and won’t change your experience.
Disclosure of data
Sharing your information:
We never sell your personal information.
We share anonymised data about programme impact and engagement for marketing and reporting purposes.
We use trusted third-party services for hosting, payments, communications, and data analysis.
Some of these services are located outside New Zealand. These companies can only use your information to provide their specific services and must protect your data according to privacy laws.
For payments, we use secure payment providers who handle your card details safely. We don’t store your full card details ourselves.
Women in Tourism Career Accelerator Data Sharing
For participants in the Women in Tourism Career Accelerator programme, additional data sharing arrangements apply:
We share specific programme-related data with Grow Tourism, including:
- Powrsuit membership status
- Engagement metrics
- Basic profile information necessary for programme delivery
- Survey responses to improve the programme
This data sharing enables:
- Seamless programme delivery
- Progress tracking
- Impact measurement
We ensure that:
- All data sharing complies with applicable privacy laws
- Only necessary data is shared between Powrsuit and Grow Tourism
- Data is used solely for programme-related purposes
- Personal information is protected by appropriate security measures
Data Retention and Deletion
How long we keep your information:
We only keep your information as long as needed for your membership and programme delivery.
You can request deletion of your information by emailing [email protected]. Some records may be kept for legal requirements.
Cookies
We may use a cookie file containing information to identify the computer or other device you are working from. The cookie file is anonymous and is only used to identify visits from the same web browser.
We may use the information generated by cookies to track traffic patterns to and from the website, including information like the pages you visit, the time you spend on each page, the date and time of your visit, and the pages you came from or went to. Cookie collection will also enable you to enter the Membership Network without logging on each time.
You can choose to refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser and/or deleting them from your hard drive.
We will take reasonable steps to keep your personal information safe from loss, unauthorised activity, or other misuse.
